A federal judge has rejected Google’s request to vacate a jury verdict requiring the company to pay $425 million for allegedly violating collecting mobile users’ analytics information after they attempted to block data collection.

“The complaint alleges that Meta violated Vermont law by ‘designing’ Instagram to be addictive, but there is no allegation that Meta ‘designed’ Instagram in Vermont or with features in any way unique to or targeted at Vermont,” Meta argues.
