The New York Times has filed its second lawsuit against the Defense Department, charging that the policy of escorting journalists while on Pentagon grounds violates the First Amendment., Associated Press reports. The escort plan is “an unconstitutional attempt by the Pentagon to prevent independent reporting on military affairs, a Times spokesperson says.
