TikTok has agreed to settle three lawsuits filed by young people who allege that social media platforms are designed to be addictive and harm their mental health, Reuters reports. These cases are
among thousands of ;awsuits that were consolidated in a California state court. The lawsuits against Meta Platforms, Google, YouTube and Snap will continue, with a trial scheduled to start in October.
The companies have denied the allegations.
