LG’s smart TVs continuously eavesdrop on owners, even when the devices are offline or in standby mode, according to a joint report by Gamers Nexus and Level1Techs. They
allegedly scan local area networks to identify phones and smartwatches, and the location data of nearby Wi-Fi networks. However, LG has pushed back, saying, ““LG smart TVs do not
continuously record or transmit users’ conversations.”
