Comcast is bracing for major job cuts in its cable and telecom businesses as the company restructures prior to the planned spinoff of NBCUniversal next year, Variety reports.
“We expect to have a significant charge in the fourth quarter related mostly to our transformation efforts, and I would quantify that at over $1 billion,” Jason Armstrong, told analysts.
The company has been hit by continued losses of broadband and cable TV subscribers.
