Wow! Dreamforce 2025 is already off to a GREAT start. Not only do we get the chance to connect, learn, and build the Agentic Enterprise together this week, but there are also some game-changing announcements in the Admin Keynote.
This year’s keynote takes us to Coral Cloud Resorts, a fictional luxury resort featured in Trailhead challenges and Agentforce NOW workshops worldwide. As we add new functionality to Coral Clouds, we cover feature announcements you don’t want to miss.
Let’s dive into the top product announcements from Dreamforce, including both features available now and a sneak peek at those coming soon to our Awesome Admins.
Admins set up and build with impact
The way we build and configure software is undergoing its biggest shift ever. Admins are at the forefront of this revolution, using new generative tools to create, configure, and customize agents and related software assets faster than ever.
Setup powered by Agentforce
Now in pilot, Setup powered by Agentforce simplifies admins’ lives by allowing us to create solutions just by describing what we need. In the Admin Keynote we showcase the ability to create custom objects and flows using natural language. In the new release we can create record-triggered and schedule-triggered flows and there are plans in the future to expand this to screen flows and manually-triggered autolaunched flows.
Setup powered by Agentforce also has some additional flow features designed to support admins that work on a team, come into a new org, or work as consultants. Flows are created like signatures, and sometimes it can be hard to read another admin’s work. We have all had that moment staring at the screen and wondering “What does this flow actually do?!” That problem is solved! Flow Query and Flow Summarization allow us to ask questions about our existing flows and ask what a flow is designed to do.
DX Inspector
This handy toolbar got a new feature that is going to make admins’ days all across the globe. With Metadata + Data Deployment, admins can select their most recent changes from the list and easily deploy to a target environment. I’m talking Metadata and Data in the same orchestration! Think of all the times you’ve had to create reference data in the sandbox and wished you could deploy it along with your metadata components. That wish is now a reality.
Talk about making Salesforce easy to build!
Make every experience intelligent and conversational
The Admin Keynote helps us clearly grasp that agentic AI is the most important shift for software of our lifetime. We are moving from clicks and tabs to agents and conversations. We are bringing people, agents, data and apps together in a single pane of glass, and admins are key to setting up this new agentic experience.
NEW Agentforce Agent Builder with Authoring
Last year, building agents was brand new to all of us. And this year, it is becoming more intuitive. Gone are the days of systematically creating topics, actions, and instructions. Now you can create agents conversationally and even get help writing with AI. The Simulator gives admins a better testing experience and explains what the agent is doing behind the scenes.
Auto Slack
We’ve heard you loud and clear—your users are not updating Salesforce because task (and tab) switching draws from their focus. This year at Dreamforce we are seeing a Slack-first experience bringing the power of Salesforce into Slack—where users are already collaborating. Auto Slack makes connecting your Salesforce instance with a new Slack environment as easy as a three-step checklist.
Slackbot
One of the reasons users are staying in Slack is Slackbot—your own Slack assistant to help with reminders, notifications, and automated responses. Keynote speaker Gillian Bruce describes Slackbot as her new BFF. Unlike standalone AI tools that sit outside your workflow, Slackbot understands the context of your workspace—your conversations, files, projects, and contacts—and uses that knowledge to deliver fast, personalized support.
Security is a team sport: Make every solution trusted and secure
Trust is more important than ever. In the shared responsibility model between Salesforce and customers, admins are responsible for implementing the strongest security posture across the Agentic Enterprise.
Setup powered by Agentforce
We’ve already taken a look at some of the remarkable things Setup powered by Agentforce can help us do with configuration, but what if I told you it could help with the hours of troubleshooting permissions and recreating issues too? In our demo we show how easy it is for admins to ask the agent about a user’s access to a custom object, find out what access they need, and have the agent assign the permission set. This eliminates tons of clicks for admins and solves user management woes right on the spot.
Get support
But that’s not all our agent can do. When we ask for Salesforce help online we’re directed to Help Articles that may or may not be specific to the features we have in our individual instances. Help Agent is able to answer our questions and customize them because the results are vectorized in our individual org’s data.
Securing Salesforce has gotten much more complicated over the years as admins face new threats, but thankfully we have a lot more help in our quest to keep Salesforce secure.
Connected Apps
Security is a team sport, and there are a lot of invisible components moving behind the scenes to keep your orgs secure. Salesforce recently launched new Connected App usage requirements so that admins can decide which connected applications have access to their orgs. To learn more, check out this blog post that covers the changes and what admins can do to keep secure and avoid disruption.
Admins are the spark that powers the Agentic Enterprise
Salesforce Admins are integral to building the agentic enterprise at their organizations, but our strength is in how we show up as a community—putting these features to work, guiding others, and setting the pace of AI innovation with Salesforce.
