As we expand our impact in the public sector, we are seeking a strategic, collaborative, and execution driven State & Local GTM Strategist to help accelerate our growth and deepen our presence in the State & Local Government (SLG) market. 

Position Summary 

The GTM Strategist – State and Local will be responsible for shaping, executing, and optimizing Cloud for Good’s go-to-market strategy for the State & Local Government vertical. This role blends market strategy, sales enablement, partner alignment, and field execution. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can also roll up their sleeves to drive pipeline, strengthen field relationships, and position Cloud for Good as a trusted partner in the SLG ecosystem. 

This role requires strong collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Delivery, and Salesforce’s Public Sector teams to ensure alignment, momentum, and measurable growth. 

Key Responsibilities 

Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution 

  • Develop and refine Cloud for Good’s GTM strategy for the State & Local Government vertical, including segmentation, messaging, and value propositions. 
  • Identify emerging trends, market opportunities, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decisions. 
  • Build and maintain a robust SLG pipeline through targeted outreach, campaigns, and field engagement. 

Sales & Field Enablement 

  • Equip sales teams with the tools, insights, and messaging needed to effectively position Cloud for Good in SLG opportunities. 
  • Partner closely with Salesforce State & Local reps to drive joint account planning, coselling motions, and opportunity creation. 
  • Provide strategic deal support, including qualification guidance, pursuit strategy, and executive alignment. 

Partner Engagement 

  • Strengthen relationships with Salesforce Public Sector teams, ensuring consistent communication, value delivery, and mutual pipeline development. 
  • Proactively bring opportunities, insights, and strategic angles to Salesforce reps even when communication is onesided to build trust and credibility. 
  • Flag engagement challenges early and collaborate with leadership to develop a plan of action to increase responsiveness and partnership. 

Market Positioning & Thought Leadership 

  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop SLGspecific content, campaigns, and events. 
  • Represent Cloud for Good at industry conferences, webinars, and partner events. 
  • Serve as an internal subjectmatter expert on State & Local Government needs, trends, and buying behaviors. 

 

Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of experience in public sector technology, consulting, Salesforce ecosystem, or related GTM roles. 
  • Strong understanding of State & Local Government procurement cycles, priorities, and challenges. 
  • Proven ability to build and execute GTM strategies that drive measurable pipeline and revenue growth. 
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, and cross-functional collaboration skills. 
  • Ability to influence without authority and thrive in a fastpaced, highgrowth environment. 
  • Experience working with Salesforce Public Sector teams is a strong plus.

  • Travel Requirements 
    • All roles at Cloud for Good include a travel component. Business travel—both domestic and international—may be required based on project and client needs. The amount of travel will vary by role but is generally expected to be up to 20% annually. Travel is considered an essential part of this position and supports effective client engagement, collaboration, and company representation. 
  • Work Environment 
    • Cloud for Good is a fully remote company. Team members are expected to maintain a professional, distraction-free workspace that is camera-ready for video meetings. Collaboration takes place across Zoom, Office 365, Salesforce, and Slack during standard business hours (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. in your local time zone). 
  • Client Time Zone Alignment 
    • As a team member, you may be required to adjust your work hours to align with your key client’s time zone to support effective communication, collaboration, and project delivery. Flexibility and coordination with your Project Lead (Services) will help ensure success in this client-facing role.
