Google Analytics announced two major updates:
- A new integration with Reddit Ads to import cost data.
- Default reports and audience templates tailored for lead generation marketers.
Details. Reddit Ads cost import: Advertisers can now automatically import cost data from Reddit Ads into Google Analytics, enabling unified reporting and easier performance comparison across platforms.
New lead generation reports:
- Lead Acquisition Report tracks the first touchpoint when a potential lead visits your site or app.
- Lead Disqualification and Loss Report identifies why prospects dropped off before converting.
Eight new lead gen audience templates support full-funnel targeting:
- Qualified leads: Retarget users likely to convert.
- Converted leads: Exclude existing customers from prospecting.
- New leads: Nurture fresh contacts toward conversion.
Implementation. To enable these features, advertisers must use the recommended lead gen event schema in Google Analytics via Event Data Import or Measurement Protocol.
Why we care. This update gives advertisers clearer visibility into Reddit Ads performance by integrating cost data directly into Google Analytics, allowing for unified reporting across platforms.
The new lead gen reports and audience templates offer deeper insight into how leads are acquired, lost, and converted, making it easier to diagnose funnel issues and activate high-value segments for remarketing or exclusion. Together, these tools help to optimize spend, improve targeting, and drive more efficient lead conversion.
