Salesforce Application Manager in the USA or Canada

The Salesforce Application Manager serves as the end-to-end strategic and operational owner of Cloud for Good’s internal Salesforce platform, with responsibility for defining the platform vision, setting and managing the roadmap, and ensuring the Salesforce ecosystem effectively supports GTM, Services, and broader operational priorities. 

This role blends product management, business analysis, hands-on Salesforce configuration, and governance leadership, requiring a seasoned Salesforce generalist who can translate business needs into scalable, well-adopted solutions while maintaining platform stability and best practices.

Key Responsibilities 

Product Ownership & Platform Strategy 

  • Serve as the primary product owner and subject matter expert for the Salesforce platform 
  • Define and maintain the Salesforce roadmap aligned to business strategy and organizational goals 
  • Ensure platform scalability, data integrity, usability, and alignment with business processes 
  • Evaluate new Salesforce features and recommend adoption strategies 

Stakeholder Partnership & Business Analysis 

  • Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders across GTM, Services, Finance, HR, and Operations 
  • Conduct requirements gathering, process mapping, and solution design workshops 
  • Translate business needs into product vision, user stories, and acceptance criteria 
  • Act as a trusted advisor guiding tradeoffs and sequencing decisions 

Execution & Delivery Leadership 

  • Provide day-to-day guidance and mentorship to Salesforce administrators and delivery resources 
  • Ensure a stable, well-governed Salesforce environment with a predictable enhancement lifecycle 
  • Drive Salesforce initiatives from intake through deployment 
  • Lead delivery with India-based resources across configuration, development, and testing 
  • Oversee project timelines, risks, UAT, and release quality 
  • Lead change management to ensure adoption and sustainability 

Configuration, Governance & Operational Excellence 

  • Perform hands-on Salesforce configuration including objects, fields, flows, automation, and security 
  • Establish and enforce governance, documentation, and change management processes 
  • Track and prioritize bugs, enhancements, and technical debt 
  • Maintain system documentation and deliver end-user training materials 

 

Required Qualifications 

  • 5-7 years of experience in Salesforce platform ownership, product management, or solution leadership 
  • Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce declarative tools 
  • Proven experience leading offshore or distributed delivery teams 
  • Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Advanced Admin, Platform App Builder, or equivalent)

  • Travel Requirements  
  • All roles at Cloud for Good include a travel component. Business travel—both domestic and international—may be required based on project and client needs. The amount of travel will vary by role but is generally expected to be up to 30% annually. Travel is considered an essential part of this position and supports effective client engagement, collaboration, and company representation.  
  • Work Environment  
  • Cloud for Good is a fully remote company. Team members are expected to maintain a professional, distraction-free workspace that is camera-ready for video meetings. Collaboration takes place across Zoom, Office 365, Salesforce, and Slack during standard business hours (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. in your local time zone).  
  • Client Time Zone Alignment  
  • As a team member, you may be required to adjust your work hours to align with your key client’s time zone to support effective communication, collaboration, and project delivery. Flexibility and coordination with your Project Lead (Services) will help ensure success in this client-facing role.
