As we continue expanding our presence in the State & Local Government (SLG) market, we are seeking a detail oriented, collaborative, and proactive State & Local Proposal Coordinator to support our growing pipeline of public sector opportunities. 

Position Summary 

The Proposal Coordinator – State and Local will play a critical role in managing and executing Cloud for Good’s proposal development process for State & Local Government opportunities. This role ensures that all proposals for RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and other procurement responses are compliant, compelling, and aligned with Cloud for Good’s brand and value proposition. 

The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a deadline driven environment, and can coordinate across multiple teams to deliver high-quality submissions. This role requires strong writing skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects. 

Key Responsibilities  

Proposal Management & Coordination 

  • Lead the end-to-end coordination of State & Local Government proposals, including RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and other procurement documents. 
  • Review solicitation requirements and develop proposal schedules, compliance matrices, and response outlines. 
  • Coordinate inputs from Sales, Delivery, Marketing, and subject matter experts to ensure timely and accurate content. 
  • Manage version control, document organization, and submission logistics to ensure compliance with all requirements. 

Content Development & Quality Assurance 

  • Draft, edit, and refine proposal content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with Cloud for Good’s messaging. 
  • Create and maintain a library of reusable proposal content, templates, and boilerplate materials. 
  • Ensure all submissions meet quality standards, including formatting, grammar, compliance, and brand consistency. 
  • Support the creation of S&L specific case studies, resumes, and supporting materials. 

Cross Functional Collaboration 

  • Partner closely with the State & Local GTM Strategist, Sales team, and Delivery leaders to gather technical and strategic content. 
  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure messaging consistency and alignment with broader GTM initiatives. 
  • Work with Salesforce Public Sector teams when needed to align on joint pursuits and partner requirements. 

Process Improvement 

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the proposal development process. 
  • Track proposal outcomes and maintain reporting on win/loss trends to inform future strategy. 
  • Support the development of best practices, templates, and tools to increase efficiency and quality. 

 

Qualifications  

  • 2-4 years of experience in proposal coordination, proposal writing, or similar roles preferably in technology, consulting, or public sector environments. 
  • Familiarity with State & Local Government procurement processes and requirements. 
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. 
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and work independently when needed. 
  • Experience with Salesforce or the Salesforce ecosystem is a plus.

  • Travel Requirements 
    • All roles at Cloud for Good include a travel component. Business travel—both domestic and international—may be required based on project and client needs. The amount of travel will vary by role but is generally expected to be up to 20% annually. Travel is considered an essential part of this position and supports effective client engagement, collaboration, and company representation. 
  • Work Environment 
    • Cloud for Good is a fully remote company. Team members are expected to maintain a professional, distraction-free workspace that is camera-ready for video meetings. Collaboration takes place across Zoom, Office 365, Salesforce, and Slack during standard business hours (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. in your local time zone). 
  • Client Time Zone Alignment 
    • As a team member, you may be required to adjust your work hours to align with your key client’s time zone to support effective communication, collaboration, and project delivery. Flexibility and coordination with your Project Lead (Services) will help ensure success in this client-facing role.
