Microsoft Advertising just dropped a fresh wave of product updates, with major changes to reporting, Performance Max, import tools, and Shopify integration — all designed to help advertisers stay agile in a shifting economic and consumer landscape.
Reporting gets a full redesign. Microsoft has overhauled the Reporting homepage and launched a powerful new Custom Report Builder.
Why it matters – Faster access to key metrics and recommended templates. Full customization with filters, breakdowns, and scheduling. More flexibility to analyze what matters most — with less effort.

Performance Max. Performance Max campaigns now follow standard auction dynamics when overlapping with Standard Shopping campaigns — meaning the highest Ad Rank wins, not just default PMax priority.
Why it matters – More flexibility and control in mixed-campaign accounts. Smoother testing with fewer surprises in delivery.
Microsoft reports that PMax campaigns deliver 39% higher conversion rates than Standard Shopping (US, Feb–Apr 2025). Other new PMax features include support for scripts, automated rules, asset group copy-paste, new customer acquisition goals (in pilot), and enhanced conversion diagnostic tools directly in the UI.
Google & Meta Import: Smarter, faster setup. Importing carousel ads? Now you can bring the first image from Google or Meta ads into Microsoft Audience ads as native creatives. Coming soon in June: Smart import issue detection with quick-fix recommendations for faster campaign troubleshooting.
Why it matters – Less manual work, faster cross-platform scaling, and more consistent brand performance.
Shopify + Microsoft: Global reach, simplified. The Microsoft Channel app on Shopify now supports more markets — including the UK, Japan, Australia, and key EU countries. Merchants can connect Microsoft Ads directly from Shopify, sync product catalogs to Bing/MSN Shopping, and launch and manage Performance Max campaigns natively.
Why it matters – Shopify merchants can now expand reach and conversions without leaving their store interface.
Why we care. These updates give advertisers more control, efficiency, and visibility. The redesigned reporting tools make it easier to track performance and optimize faster. Performance Max campaign improvements allow smarter bidding and more flexibility, while enhanced import features and Shopify integration help streamline cross-platform efforts and expand reach—all with less manual work.
The bottom line. These updates give advertisers more control, clearer insights, and faster ways to scale campaigns — helping them drive better performance across Microsoft’s growing ad ecosystem.
