Google is expanding its AI assistant, Ask Advisor, with new agentic capabilities across Google Ads and Google Analytics, aiming to help marketers uncover insights faster, automate analysis and make decisions without leaving the platform.
The updates are designed to reduce the time spent interpreting data while keeping advertisers in control of campaign decisions.
What’s happening. Google Analytics is introducing AI Overviews on the homepage, providing a summary of key performance changes since a user last logged in. The feature highlights trends such as shifts in traffic or seasonal sales spikes, then recommends potential next steps.
Users can click directly into Ask Advisor to investigate a specific insight further, and they can opt in to receive these AI-generated summaries via email or mobile notifications.
Google Ads is also getting a redesigned homepage with personalized AI-powered insight cards. Advertisers can ask natural-language questions—such as how competitors are affecting impression share or what trends could influence campaign performance—and Ask Advisor will generate tailored insights.
Reporting gets smarter. Google is also introducing Dashboards in Google Ads, with support for Google Analytics coming soon.
Using simple text prompts, marketers can generate visual reports from their data, while AI automatically creates real-time summaries explaining the performance trends behind the charts.
Why we care. These updates move Google beyond simply surfacing data to actively helping advertisers interpret it. Rather than digging through reports and manually identifying trends, marketers can use AI to highlight important changes, answer business questions and create visual reports in a fraction of the time.
Bottom line. Google is giving Ads and Analytics users more AI-powered assistance through Ask Advisor, introducing homepage summaries, conversational insights and automated reporting designed to simplify campaign analysis and speed up decision-making.
